Sonnet 4 ~ Mercy of Thy Beauty's Choice Defines Oneself
Reckless youth, why do you gamble such
Risking extinction of your beautiful heritage?
Life is a beautiful gift naturally given,
As received by those who embrace as such.
In magnitude, you are beautiful and blessed, yet wasteful and frivolous
With the beauty and love you possess yet choose to give nothing in return?
Successful, you are surmounted in luck
Yet, you jeopardize immortality’s prospect?
You travel life’s highways and far places, gaining much experience and knowledge in others
Yet, you’re only hurting yourself in the long run on this path.
For life carries on, and if you don’t notice time’s consent and embrace the waters provided freely via nature’s fountain of youth,
You depart this life engulfed in loneliness, leaving nothing fruitful to your name.
Your decisions, wealth, memories and reflection all be unknown to anyone and untouched thereafter,
Extension of thyself prevents the demise of your bountiful love and beauty as intended amongst the universal realm.
