Sonnet 57 ~ My Sacrifice

Sonnet 57 ~ My Sacrifice

l'amour est cécité

I am yours only; all I am waits for you alone mon amour

However long the hours and days, until your onset.

Time means nothing to me, I stand still,

There, but for the grace of you go I.

Time holds no resentment

As the sands of time sift and hourglass turns.

Nor do I indigently waver about in your absence;

When you left me behind, into the wild, seeking your path of destiny.

I close off jealous thought; refusing to question obscurity

My thoughts wonder to find you; dreaming of where you are, what you're doing.

Amongst tears and rain; my reverence clings to nothing of substance or concern.

How joyful must be those enlightened by your presence;

Semper fidelis am I; such a fool for love, that only your will be done,

Whatever your will be; your perfect love is all I see.
